Science Direct into Google

ScienceDirect contains “over 25% of the world's science, technology and medicine full text and bibliographic information” now will be available from Google and Google Scholar. It is undoubtedly good news that Elsevier articles will be indexed by Google. For more information please click here.

Also, like many other traditional publishers Elsevier post selected full texts to non-subscribers on the Web. One can search in Science Direct for free. However, you need subscription to read articles, except for a small number of articles Elsevier lets anybody read for free.

SciTalks

SciTalks, a repository of video recordings of science lectures from all over the world. Launched on June 19th, this site has over 1,000 lectures online, and more are being added daily. Currently the site has subcategories for academic, broadcast and corporate science lectures.

This is an open access and free site, users can set up a free user name and password to create their own collection of favorite videos, can also submit links to additional lectures to be listed on the site.
